20: Bitcoin’s effect on transformation of self
It’s hard to succinctly express my gratitude for and interest in bitcoin, so I’ll share one aspect that most relates to this page.
In addition to being economic energy; a digital energy savings technology, money the whole world can use, the first true form of property that each human can own, etc., Bitcoin is a transformational force.
(You’ll notice I didn’t initially share this definition with you all because to be honest I know it can come off a bit cult-like. But, I think we’ve now established a good foundation for Bitcoin.)
To paraphrase Erik Cason, the true wealth you gain through bitcoin is the wealth of knowledge that you unlock through your Proof of Work study of bitcoin. When you learn bitcoin, you end up asking questions on topics you’d never heard of or you’d never dug into before, or that you didn’t even think to question.
Bitcoin is a transformational force, providing you with knowledge, lowering your time-preference, and aligning/reaffirming your values to the values we hope to embody on our best days: empathy, inclusion, humility, etc.
Throughout the articles, I’m learning and growing; my thoughts and opinions may change as I learn more. This site/blog is my Proof of Work journey.
Bitcoin embeds us with values of low time preference, trust, truth, empathy, inclusion, humility, gratitude, inclusion, honesty, peace, hope. The world is dynamic, a reaction to human action. We can’t plan out the future precisely. All we can do is when approached with a decision, make a decision aligned with the values we want to guide our lives by. The best of Bitcoin is yet to come. The true impacts of Bitcoin are still unknown, but the values are known.
Whatever your “why” is. My wish is that you can pursue it. I believe buying bitcoin is your tool to pursue your why and help others pursue their why.
My twitter handle: 21mmforthe21st might make sense now :)

Bitcoin allows us to do the things that bring us joy.

Want to work on vertical farming? Want to work on cancer? Want to ______?
Bitcoin provides you with control, with the ability to plan for the future, with the ability to direct the purpose of your life. Bitcoin frees up your mental capacity to go do the things that you believe you were meant to do.
After researching Cathie Wood, CEO and CIO of the investment management firm Ark Invest for a semester-long school assignment, her words ring true in my ears: Learn the importance of “[putting] the pieces of the puzzle together about how the world is going to work, not how it has worked” (source).
Bitcoin is a “disruptive innovation,” creatively destroying existing systems for a better path forward into our future.
The world is changing. Owning bitcoin, transacting with truth, is how you can be on the right side of change and help others around the world that you will never even meet be on the right side of change.
Each day, I try to figure out a little bit more about how our world is going to work, humanity, and how we will work together. We live in an answer-based society, but let’s start asking questions.
